| On May 12th, 2005, EvenStart for Children's Society of Calgary welcomed McKesson Canada Executives and friends into its Monterey Park location to celebrate! As a main site of EvenStart's programs and services for children 'at risk', it is also the future home of a SENSORY Room facility that the McKesson Canada grant generously makes possible. | ||
| EvenStart's grant application to McKesson, included a description of its service mandate and its social mission to our community's children. Those children who come to EvenStart from environments of poverty, neglect or abuse will now experience the multiple benefits that a fully-equipped sensory room will provide in the expert hands of our highly-trained professional therapy staff and teachers. | ||
| In thanks and celebration of McKesson Canada's cheque presentation, we captured the moment to share with McKesson Canada's employees, with donors and community friends of EvenStart invited to this event, and ultimately with the parents and children whom our programs serve. The SENSORY Room addition to our repertoire of treatment interventions for children with sensory issues, will make significant differences in the benefits they receive from our care. Thank you again McKesson Canada and the McKesson Foundation Committee, and McKesson's Employees, all of whom were wonderfully represented by Mr. Brent Teulon and Mr. Michel Elliott! | ||

![]() "Play therapy is vital work with children"- Our children experience socialization, group activity, creativity, and self-discovery among so many other advantages when they are challenged to explore, discover and self-initiate learning. With a professional staff of therapists, each child's unique developmental needs are individually assessed and intervention strategies defined to help them achieve their very best. |
