HOW THE HAMPER PREPARATION PROCESS WORKS:

Calendar

Heartland
October 13
through
November 6
  • Staff ask families for Christmas wish lists:
    • Family List includes:
      - Family members' names
      - Genders
      - Clothing & Shoe sizes
      - Critical Needs (by person)
      - Gifts-Wish List Needs (by person)
      - General Family Household Needs

(Our professional team are very conversant with the status and needs of every family. If you have questions about providing additional items not on their Needs List, please email Brianna and she can tell you of a family that might best benefit from this consideration. For example, we have had a donor who worked for a wall coverings store and provided blinds to us so that a family with no window coverings was given that 'extra' gift. Most families cannot afford vehicles so Bus Transit passes are a high need; Brianna can advise which families can best benefit from these 'extras'.)
